Admission Requirements

International students could be admitted into the English programme of the Kaunas University of Medicine if they provide the legalized high school or college certificate and transcript (officially translated into English) and meet the Entrance Examination requirements (see Entrance Examination). Good grades in biology, chemistry and physics will give preference. Good knowledge of English language is obligatory.

Items to be submitted (in English or with an authorised English translation):
1. Application form;
2. Matriculation / School Leaving Certificate confirmed by the governmental authorities (see below "Legalization of Educational Documents");
3. Transcripts of high school/ senior secondary school courses verifying successful completion of General Biology, General Chemistry and Physics (Unofficial transcripts may be submitted, but acceptance into the program will be on condition of receipt of all official transcripts or attested copies);
4. Passport or ID copy;
5. Health Certificate based on complete medical examination;
6. Three passport-type photographs (3x4 cm);
7. Application fee 350 EUR (non refundable). Application fee should be transferred to the following account:

Note: The Admission Committee may request additional documents.

Legalization of Educational Documents
Applicants, who received their education in countries-members from the Hague 1961 Convention (e.g. Israel, Italy, India, United Kingdom, USA, Australia, Venezuela, etc.) should have an attached Apostille to their educational documents. (In most countries the Apostille is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Education.)

Applicants who received their education in any other country (Lebanon, Jordan, Philippines, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, etc.) should pass a double legalization of their educational documents:
· First, the educational documents should be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the diplomatic mission or consular post of the country where education was received;
· Second, the documents should be legalized by the Lithuanian diplomatic mission or consular post in the country where education was received or in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
